AJAX Post-It

Changelog
  • 1.0 - Initial Release

Post-It is a simple JavaScript/AJAX widget that allows content to be posted and moved around in near real-time across multiple monitors. It was written for a project I had while enrolled in Design for the Internet at San Diego State University during my Junior year there. I had originally developed it as an introductory project in JavaScript and AJAX, therefore I did not use any JavaScript framework during development (although it probably would have made development far easier and less buggy). In the end, it turned out to be a fun little project and I have gotten good feedback on it, but have yet to have the time to re-write it for jQuery.

You can sample the script below, just type anything you want in the white input box and click "post" to send your message to the screen. You can click the clear button to clear the screen. Keep in mind that everything you post will be updated in real time (including movements) -- so be sure to check it out on another computer (or test it out with a friend). This also means everything you post will be visible on my website, so please keep it PG-13. Thanks and have fun!
